Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 25, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Rebel Growth Operators (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our client dashboard. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Cookies can be “session cookies” (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent cookies” (stored on your device for a set period or until you delete them).

In addition to traditional cookies, we use similar technologies including local storage, session storage, and pixel tags, which function in comparable ways. All references to “cookies” in this policy include these similar technologies.

2. Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or authenticating your session.

  • Authentication session cookies — Set by Clerk, our identity provider, to maintain your logged-in state across pages. Without these, you would need to sign in on every page.
  • Security cookies — Used to detect and prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and other security threats.
  • Load balancing cookies — Set by our hosting provider (Vercel) to distribute traffic across servers and ensure platform availability.

These cookies do not require your consent as they are technically necessary to deliver the Services you have requested.

Analytics and Performance Cookies

We use PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics platform, to understand how visitors interact with our website. PostHog helps us measure traffic, identify popular content, and improve the user experience.

  • PostHog session cookie — Tracks your session activity on the site, including pages visited, clicks, and time spent. This data is aggregated and used for analytics purposes only.
  • PostHog distinct ID cookie — A persistent cookie that assigns an anonymous identifier to your browser so we can recognize returning visitors and measure unique sessions over time. This identifier is not linked to personally identifiable information unless you create an account.

PostHog is configured to respect user privacy. IP addresses are anonymized by default. We do not share PostHog data with advertisers or use it for ad targeting.

Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization within the dashboard. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

  • Preference cookies — Remember settings you have selected (such as display preferences) so you do not have to re-enter them on each visit.
  • Feature flag cookies — Used to control which features of the platform are displayed to you, enabling us to roll out improvements gradually.

Cookies We Do Not Use

We do not use advertising or targeting cookies. We do not track you across third-party websites for the purpose of serving ads. We do not sell cookie data or share it with advertising networks.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our site are set by third parties. We do not control these cookies and they are subject to the third party’s own privacy and cookie policies. The third parties whose cookies may appear on our site include:

  • Clerk — Authentication and identity management. Clerk Privacy Policy
  • PostHog — Product analytics. PostHog Privacy Policy
  • Vercel — Web hosting and edge delivery. Vercel Privacy Policy

4. Cookie Duration

The cookies we use have the following approximate lifetimes:

  • Session cookies: Deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Authentication cookies: Typically expire after 7–30 days or when you explicitly sign out.
  • Analytics cookies: PostHog’s persistent identifier cookie typically lasts up to 12 months, after which it is renewed if you continue to visit the site.
  • Preference cookies: Typically expire after 12 months.

5. Your Cookie Choices

You have several options for controlling cookies:

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, block, and delete cookies through their settings. Instructions vary by browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent certain parts of the website from functioning correctly, including the ability to log in.

Opting Out of Analytics

To opt out of PostHog analytics tracking, you can install a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts, or contact us and we will configure your account to disable analytics collection.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Our website does not currently respond to DNT signals in a standardized way, as no universal standard has been established. We encourage you to use the browser-level and opt-out controls described above.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable regulations. We will post updates on this page with a revised date. We encourage you to check this page periodically. Material changes will also be communicated through our standard notice mechanisms.
